Due to Brexit we are in the process of re-assigning stock levels from our warehouse both in the UK and Europe. Unfortunately this is taking longer than we anticipated. As a result, our usual levels of available stock has decreased. We are working hard to over come this and available stock will be increasing over the coming days. Dismiss
Indica Sativa Hybrid
Indica, Sativa and Hybrid represent the three main categories of Cannabis. When Indica and Sativa genetics are crossed these are predominantly known as hybrid cannabis seeds providing users with benefits from both Indica and Sativa.
One of the first known Sativa/Indica hybrid’s was known as ‘Skunk’. First bred in California by Sacred Seed Co. The result was revolutionary, producing a strain with high yields in a relatively short period of time. Add to this the ability to withstand an array of climatic conditions, hence enabling it to be grown indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses.
Hybrid cannabis strains can either be Indica dominant, Sativa dominant or a fifty-fifty split. Depending on whether you are inclined towards the cerebral high of Sativa or the body relaxation properties of Indica. The therapeutic properties of Cannabis have become prominent in recent years leading to a noticeable rise in demand. This has further lead an increase in experimentation with Cannabis strains resulting in Hybrid Seeds.
The process of breeding such hybrid seeds involves breeders picking the female plant and male pollen to produce a specific trait. Cannabinoid Content is one of the main reasons for breeders opting for producing Indica Sativa Hybrids. Research has enabled breeders to maintain specific concentrations of cannabinoids, with strains either maximizing or minimizing the levels of THC and CBD.
Medicinal Properties of Hybrid Seeds are known to provide certain therapeutic benefits. Whilst Indica is known to aid insomnia along with providing pain relief. Sativa, on the other hand, is known to be helpful for depression, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and even fatigue. As a result, and depending upon the dominant strain, individuals can incur the benefits of both Indica and Sativa via the hybrid strain. Hybrids can be especially helpful when tailored to a user’s specific need.
