LA Kush is thought to hail from Orange County, California, originally although its precise origins are in some doubt. Purple Peyote, on the other hand, is known to derive from a single purple pheno of Bubba Kush, back-crossed for several generations which has stabilised its attributes including the deep purple/black colouration of its leaves.
Both parents have 8 – 9 week flowering times and this is further consolidated in L.A. Peyote Kush. While yields are not excessively high the sheer quality certainly is.
