Medical cannabis, or medical marijuana has a history of medicinal use dating back thousands of years. Early Chinese Doctors used cannabis as an anaesthetic as early as 200AD. in fact in Chinese the term anaesthesia literally means 'Cannabis Intoxication'. The Chinese were not the only ones to realize the benefit of medicinal cannabis. in Egypt it was often used to treat haemorrhoids. whilst the ancient Indians used cannabis for a variety of ailments including insomnia, migraines, and pain relief.
Unfortunately our relationship with cannabis took a turn for the worse and was stopped been used by many due to political and industrial pressure. Fortunately though cannabis has seen a resurgence with many countries now using cannabis for medical treatments.
